Dr Magda Rall

Magda holds a PhD in multi-disciplinary studies (sociology and psychology) from the University of Calvary. Throughout the years, she has attended various courses on Counselling Techniques at the Johannesburg University in South Africa and has worked in the field of care for 25 years – predominantly within the private sector.

Magda has spent the last four years in the field of rehabilitation, in which she has had the opportunity to spend time with families of substance users, discussing life forward for both parties.

In 2014 she was selected for the VODACOM South African “Change The World” team as a volunteer for their outreach program. She has also been a contributor to the Buddies for Life magazine which focuses on the matter of life after trauma.

In 2015 Magda took the opportunity of spending time with substance users on a direct level when she accepted the position at a rehabilitation centre as the Resident Psychologist. In August 2016, she accepted an offer from White River Manor and joined the team as their resident psychologist.

For the past 13 years, Magda has been the facilitator for the CANSA Support group in Nelspruit and in 2016 received the Mariette Loots National award as the South African CANSA volunteer of the year.
